Next, I will highlight some of the more interesting points, that I gathered from the answers to the questions that I sent out to everyone.
Teresa was/is deeply affected by an ex-drugie/sexual molested teen whose father gave life and meaning to his poop.
Amy claims she can't think of anyone that most resembles her, in a book. It is strange that she has read the Sweet Valley High books "over and over". I wonder if she sees a little of herself in Jessica or Elizabeth? Personally, I am voting Elizabeth with a hint of Jessica hidden deep down. (The Jessica side shows up on those straight tequila nights).
Natalie sees herself in a young runaway boy whose only friend is a runaway slave. I am wondering if this has anything to do with all of those readings, by her grandparents to her, of Little Black Sambo.
Me...what can I say....admitting that I would like if the Bible were the most influential book I have ever read yet, having to come clean and say that it was some trash book like Men's Sexual Fantasies. I think that might mean that I am more Jessica with a little Elizabeth hidden deep down.
What about Ms. Sara? (just flew in from Callie so I am late Sara) The bumpersticker on Sara's car of life would read.... Wanna Be Domestic Goddess. She might be head of US HR, at her company, but I think, deep down, she is still a school teacher.
I have accidentally erased all of our questionaires(just FYI, don't try to file emails, in Gmail, and delete parts of the same conversation, from your trash. It will delete the threads in your files, as well) so the rest of this post must be from memory. Ellen loves to read on the floor with her doggies. (Ellen....with a beer or cup of coffee?)
Amanda loves to read on her front porch. (Amanda, I thought you lived in an apt.... When are you going to move to Dripping Springs?)
Sarah...one of her favorite books happens to be one of my favorite books...Prodigal Summer.
So, this post is getting long and I should wrap it up. Our book choices were, would someone post the order we are reading these in-
In Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult
The Magus- has anyone decided which book is correct?
The Constant Gardner by John le Carre
The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
Sara is our next hostess and it is up to her to determine place, time, details, details.....
This is a side note...this is my first attempt at a blog. I know there is alot more you can do with them than I have done, here. Any help, by you smart and creative ladies, is always welcome.
Make time to read, run and enjoy life.
